Whether you agree with tobacco use or not, it is a legal substance and personal choice, and a freedom protected to everyone under the Constitution.  We are a group of conservatives who believe that government heavily and punitively taxing smokers, to pay for a healthcare program, is completely absurd.  Americans have a history of rebellion when they believe they are being excessively and unfairly taxed, remember the Boston Tea Party?!

Secondly, this recently passed ‘new and improved’ expanded SCHIP Program being funded by this new tax, also funds healthcare for illegal immigrant’s by removing proof of citizenship requirements.  That is what was meant when our President said, “expanded SCHIP”.  We don’t believe the people of this Country are fully aware of this.  We hope to change this.
